Massage is an ancient art of natural healing still practiced for its numerous benefits. Today's techniques are collections from cultures that have used massage for generations to restore health and vitality because it relieves stress and soothes muscle aches and pains.
Massage is commonly defined as the application of pressure, friction or strain (as by rubbing, stroking, kneading, tapping, compression, vibration, rocking or other methods) with the hands or other instruments to manipulate the muscles, joints and other tissues of the body for therapeutic, holistic, physical, emotional and/or psychological responses. |

Receiving a massage should never make you uncomfortable. The most important thing you should know about massage is, you NEVER have to do anything you're not fully comfortable with. Clients are asked to disrobe only to their individual comfort level. Most people prefer to get fully undressed or wear only their underwear, but what's best for you may be different. You will never be required to disrobe completely.
In the case of the most common form of massage, the "Swedish" massage, it's almost a universal procedure for the therapist to ask you to undress to the point that you are comfortable and then leave the room while you do so. That means you may remain fully clothed, undress completely or anything in between, and I will work within those limitations as best I can. There are many therapies that may be less than effective if you remain dressed. I will let you know if your choice of massage could be hampered by your choice of dress.
For the most part, once you're up on the table and covered with the sheet provided, your work is done, and all you have left to do is to relax and enjoy. During the massage, only the part of your body currently being worked will be uncovered, and those parts of your body generally considered private are left covered at all times and not worked on. When the massage is complete, you'll be left in private to dress again. Later, after you’ve finished redressing, you'll have the opportunity to tell me how you feel, share any concerns, settle the bill, and schedule your next appointment.

A full body massage encompasses anything appropriate to a therapeutic setting. A typical full-body massage lasts about an hour to an hour and a half and will include work on your back, arms, legs, feet, hands, head, neck, shoulders and face. It can also include your buttocks and abdominal muscles. This will not, under any circumstances, include the genitalia. Therapeutic massage is always strictly non-sexual.
If you have special needs, always communicate them to me in advance so I may customize your massage to address them. |
|
Do you offer sexual or erotic massage? |
|
Absolutely not. I provide massage for therapeutic purposes only. Therapeutic massage is always strictly non-sexual. As a Licensed Massage Therapist, I adhere to the guidelines and standards set forth by the Louisiana State Board of Massage Therapy concerning ethics, safety and proper draping. Sexual behavior, inquiries or requests will not be tolerated: your treatment will be terminated and you will be required to pay for the service you reserved before leaving.
In short, I have specific, well-defined standards and policies in place with regard to the type of massage that is allowed. |
