I was in the first testing groups for both the National Certification Board (1993) and Louisiana State Board of Massage Therapy (1994). I have maintained a private practice in New Orleans ever since.  Over the last 17 years, I have also worked in some of the best day spas here and on Martha’s Vineyard, enriching my perspective on health, beauty and service.  I was the LMT for staff and performers at House of Blues NOLA and have worked in concert venues and with other entertainment industry professionals.  I recently became an Instructor at Blue Cliff School of Massage Therapy, giving me the opportunity to participate in the evolution of my profession.

 

In addition to maintaining my licensure, my yearly continuing education courses give me more tools to work with in a healing massage treatment.  This enables me to add many other modalities to my repertoire, ensuring there is something for everyone’s needs and taste.

My office is ideally located at 5202 Annunciation St in the heart of Uptown.  This is at the corner of Dufossat, within walking distance of shopping on Magazine Street and the Whole Foods in Arabella Station.

I moved to New Orleans in 1988 after completing my Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Sciences at The University of Chicago.  When a serious injury introduced me to the health benefits of massage therapy, I had found my calling.  My decision to study massage therapy afforded me the extraordinary experience of apprenticing with a senior therapist.  A solid background in anatomy and physiology and the advantages of the one-on-one classroom enabled me to learn advanced modalities during my apprenticeship.
